School Meals

Our Early Years lunch break is from 11.30 to 12.30, Key Stage One lunch break is from 11.30 to 12.30 and our Lower Key Stage Two children have a lunch break from 12.00-1.00 and out Upper Key Stage Two lunch break is from 12.30 noon to 1.30 p.m. Children may have a school meal or bring a packed lunch. We encourage our children to make healthy food choices and ask that packed lunches do not contain sweets or chocolate bars.

If children are having a packed lunch please send it to school with them in the morning.

A point of safety: No glass bottles please.

Universal Free School Meals


Nick Clegg announces free school lunch for every child in state-funded infant school and disadvantaged students in further education.

Every child in reception, year 1 and year 2 in state-funded schools will receive a free school lunch from September 2014, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has announced.


The government will fund schools in England to provide every child in reception, year 1 and year 2 with a hot, nutritious meal at lunch time. The aim is to improve academic attainment and save families money – over the course of a year the average family spends £437 on school lunches per child. Click here to read more
